At first I thought that I'd never have to look in another lighting shop and I'd spend many happy days up-cycling bargain Ikea lampshades with felt of every colour. But now, 24 hours later, I'm beginning to think that my love of all things neutral, fluffy and a bit different clouded my thoughts and really they just look like some kids stuck a load of loo roll to a light fitting when nobody was looking. Sorry Kate, I never thought the day would come when I'd turn down a project involving felt circles...alas, my hunt for the perfect sitting room light fitting continues.

That was a wise decision! Time in the garden will reap benefits this weeked. Making a fondant looking lampshade that looks like something your grandmother would wear to go swimming is questionable?
